• Our volunteer board operates the Veterans Collaborative in conjunction with the Steering Committee. Directors connect with the Steering Committee and participants to guide initiatives, strategy, and organizing for collective impact.

    We are relationship-oriented, strive for consensus, and work to embrace an emergent strategy and common agenda. The President is an ex officio board member responsible for execution of the strategy and day-to-day administration of the corporation.

    Directors coordinate outreach and logistics for community summits and gatherings generated by the Steering Committee; develop and maintain the website and techical capacity for our shared Calendar, Resource Trackers, and directories

    Directors also co-facilitate statewide virtual collaboration summits and needs assessments; and maintain focus on the mission and participants. All of our directors are veterans themselves or family members of veterans involved in the military and veteran community.

  • The Steering Committee is focused on direct action, making connections, increasing participation and outreach, identifying emerging and longstanding gaps and needs, and raising awareness of our shared resources and the conditions of collective impact. Steering Committee members:

    • maintain awareness of events, news, and initiatives of organizations in the field;

    • create space for participants to connect, engage, and collaborate;

    • connect other collaborative initiatives throughout the state to the network;

    • bring together participants and speakers to present during community summits;

    • develop focused initiatives and affinity groups to support networks and community summits;

    • learn about and from the work of other collaboratives and collective impact initiatives;

    • act as a point of contact for a particular resource network or region; and/or

    • serve on committees, working/affinity groups, and other initiatives.

    The Steering Committee guides our programs and summit, and gathers the resources, data, events, and information shared throughout our website. Email us if you’d like to get involved as a Steering Committee (or volunteer) with one of our Resource Networks!

  • The alumni of the Steering Committee and Board of Directors are a dynamic group of committed service providers and members of the military and veteran community who have advised the Board, provided strategic direction, and offered invaluable technical/logistical support and insights.
